I really hated my ottomon. It was red and there was too much red in that room. Plus the kids act like it's a dining table. They have spilted so many things on it over the years. No matter how many times I shampooed it, it never looked clean. So I decided to recover it. It cost less than $20 and less than an hour of my time. I now have an orange polka dot ottomon and I love it!
Don't look too closely. I'm not a seamstress my dots aren't even lining up for pete sakes. But a man on a galloping horse would never notice. It's like worlds better. Kade doesn't like it because it's ORANGE and it doesn't match the RED couch. Oh pish posh. Now I have a better reason to find some funky fabrics to make some throw pillows. The orange is all in my plan to coordinate the orange from the front room and tie it all in together.
Notice the zippers showing on the bottom cushions. That's because the couch has to be reassembled like 4 times each day because the boys were building forts :) Forts are serious business.
Got some furniture you hate? Maybe a little change in fabric is all it needs :)

looks great! i saw a sectional the other day at the RC willey clearance center that would replace thr red one nicely!! It's all a process though.
