1. A year or so ago someone tried to steal my car. They jammed a screwdriver or other such object into the keyhole on the driver's side. Well the lock fell into the door and they were unsuccessful in opening it. We have never fixed it. I noticed the other day that another someone tried again, but was prying the metal around the lock. What gives? The car is working on being 9 years old. I'm not quite sure what anyone wants with it. I joked that I wished someone would steal it already. Steve quickly responded that is the ONLY thing we have going for us and we don't want it to be stolen because the insurance company would not pay us what it was worth to US and then we would have a car payment again when we haven't had one in years. Voice of reason that man is. I'm pretty irritated with people and theives in general.
2. Ants are on my last nerve. They have found their way inside. I suppose they don't like the heat either. It has caused me to clean many a cupboards before I was actually planning on cleaning them. Guess that the plus side of my organization kick. It was funny, I was at the store and an ant was crawling on my arm. Apparently it got into my purse and I brought the darn thing to the store. I can't get away from those suckers. Hopefully we've got the problem under control.
3. How are there only 6 weeks of summer left? I have been quite enjoying our laid back schedules of going to bed when we please and waking up later than we should.
4. I had to replace my printer. I'm so happy to have a functioning printer again. The little boys are super excited. They keep locking the door and trying to copy their butts. Despicable Me reminded them of that little trick. They know I don't want them doing that, hence the locking of the door. BOYS!
5. I have been battling pink eye. It won't go away. None of my kids have it. But everytime I think it's gone and I put on makeup, it flares up again. Keep having to replace the makeup. Grrr! Don't be scared if you see me makeup-less on Sunday. I might look something like this:
6. We just got back from the beach. Kyle was in the water the whole time. We were all ready to head back. Not Kyle, he's never ready. In the water he kept saying "I love this place!" He even asked if we could all just leave and come back and pick him up a few hours later. He was serious. Crazy kid.
7. We have two more trips planned. One of which involves me, the beach, no kids and a book. Whole different experience to just worry about yourself. I'm excited!
8. Lauren is all packed up ready for girls camp. She gets to spend her birthday there again this year. Good thing she loves it.
9. Things would be lots easier in our family if everyone just got along. You know? It's my constant reminder several times an hour especially when we're all together. I guess that's part of the test in life, whatever age we are: to get along. Because as we grow older, things don't change, we still have to get along and figure out how to be tolerant of people :)
10. Brandon has been really responsive to learning to swim this year. Makes me so happy to see his accomplishments and getting over his fear of water in his face. He is swimming for real during his swim lesson. I'm planning to record him next lesson. I want him to see what he's doing. It's awesome when kids reach milestones.
