Weekday breakfast is crazy around here. By the time breakfast is made, which is usually cold cereal, there's roughly 20 minutes or less to get everything done: kids dress, backpacks assembled, socks and shoes found, teeth brushed and coats put on before we all must walk out the door. Any disruption to this pattern causes the elementary kids to be late for school :(
I usually wander around eating my bran flakes. Doing any number of tasks to hurry the process along. Ironing, looking for socks, loading lunches into the backpacks all the while taking a few bites here and there. There's no time for sitting and enjoying breakfast on school mornings.
So, here's a cinnamon roll made later in the afternoon for a snack for the kids. I figure it counts, it's a breakfast item:)
Check out the other fabulous photographers taking this challenge:
Michelle, Kristin, Jenn, Heather, Rhonda, Tracey, Stacey, Andrea, Jessica, Amanda, Sarah, Janet, Lesli

totally counts! And I loved your real description of life in you house in the mornings. We are all too similar. Though at first I thought you said you ironed socks and then I had to go back and reread...ok...she does NOT iron socks. Whew!
So nice to "meet" you! Glad you could join us!

This sound pretty-much like our schedule. 20 minutes (or less) to rush around and get out the door.
I want that cinnamon roll!

I'm the same way. I have to eat in the morning but I can never figure out why I'm getting grouchy at 9AM and then realize I forgot breakfast. So I run around eating it while trying to get the kids out the door.
I so love that plate! And love how you did the photo.

I'm uber impressed with the ironing. I never iron. If my husband needs a shirt ironed he knows to do it himself. (I have him trained well ;-)
And now I am craving cinnamon rolls, thank you very much. :-)
