1. That the wind has stopped. It was crazy windy. Glad it turned into such a nice, warm day.
2. Highlights in my hair.
3. This super yummy recipe. It is SO GOOD and easy:) A definite keeper.
4. That these two are such good buddies most of the time.
5. Weekend dates with the two older kids. We gave a year of planned dates to our kids for Christmas. We alternate between parents and children. So I get 3 dates a year with each of my children. Looking forward to this new tradition.
Not quite a week in the new/different house and we are starting to settle in. Lots of work still to do, but we've gotten much accomplished. It was a difficult adjustment for the dog, but she's doing better now. Thankfully. The kids have been rockstars. Not any major bumps in the road.
Today I am thankful for:
1. Good, thoughtful friends who brought me dinner tonight. So, so nice not to have to cook but still enjoy a delicious meal.
2. Close proximity to friends, so we could just walk down the street to accomplish a playdate for the younger boys.
3. These cute flowers from one of my preschoolers. A housewarming gift in her favorite color:) I love looking at them.
4. First week of preschool in the new house. Done, kids are all happy, no complaints.
5. Cable and alarm are installed. I will definitely sleep better tonight, plus I can enjoy a little TV. Makes it feel a little less like we are camping out.
6. I can see the front entry hallway cause all the boxes have been moved up to my room. That is huge:)
7. Pulling out my camera and shooting just because. Made me happy.
8. The warm, afternoon light.
An ongoing list of things I'm thankful for in an effort to remember my blessings.
1. the beautiful sunset. Did you see it, amazing:) I should have called my mom or better yet gone out and took a picture.
2. Kade loosing his dangling tooth that was literally holding on by a thread then sharing the tooth fairy loot in the morning without even being asked. He's so thoughtful.
3. Family meetings: That we can do hard things, with happy attitudes:)
4. Steve bringing a fountain drink home after a long week/day.
5. Yummy grilled chicken for dinner. I think it tasted so good because I hardly cooked this week. We got by on cheese quesadillas and soup.
6. Wonderful women who work with me in Primary. I'm lucky to call them friends:)
7. Our much anticipated first parent/child dates. Mines tomorrow with Brandon. We're going out to dinner. It's his choice. He still hasn't decided, but he's excited! I'm looking forward to some quality one on one time this year with each of my kids.
8. Steve's sister, Kristi, who came over to dermabond Kyle's cut arm so we didn't have to spend a couple hours at the quick care. This injury was grossing me out. Good thing it wasn't a bleeding mess, I probably wouldn't have been able to keep it together.
9. Sleeping kids and a peaceful, quiet house.
10. Haircut and color tomorrow, those are always happy days:)
